Broken Capillaries, Red Spot & Sebaceous Hyperplasia Treatment
“I have helped many clients with this effective treatment over the years.” Yvonne Harper
The Vascutouch is specifically designed to remove unsightly veins, especially spider veins (on the face), seen as red spots and/or red lines on the face. It is also very effective for removing skin tags, milia, sebaceous hyperplasia (clogged oil glands) and red moles. The vessels being treated are not a part of your active circulation. The Vascutouch probe touches the skin and seals off the vein or skin imperfection. You may experience some scabbing, but this will resolve in 1-2 weeks. Before the treatment the skin is cleansed and prepped than using the VascuTouch system, a fine-tipped sterile probe is placed on (not under) the surface of the area being treated. Low-level RF and DC current is passed through the probe to the blemish. Expect some scabbing over the treatment site. This is normal and an indication that the treatment is effective.
Most blemishes are removed in seconds. Depending on the number of blemishes present, most conditions can be successfully treated in one to three 15-30 minute sessions. With proper post-treatment care treated broken capillaries are naturally absorbed into the surrounding tissue and disappear typically within 1-4 weeks. Skin tags and other type of skin blemishes can be treated in minutes with the VascuTouch, and usually fall off within three to seven days.
Sessions for the Vascutouch are approx 30 minutes and cost $75
Add on: 10- 15 minute sessions can be combined with a other facial services for $35
Frequently Asked Questions?
Q: How many treatments should I have?
A. Depending on the extent of the capillaries to be treated, a few treatments may be necessary. We may not be able to remove all the unwanted skin imperfections and it may require more thatn one appointment. You may also be genetically predisposed for vascular blemish formation, and will develop more of them in your lifetime. You may, for example, have fair skin and spend a lot of time outdoors and thus develop more vascular lesions.
Q: What I can expect after a treatment?
A. You may experience some redness following treatment that may last 24 hours or longer. For a few days after treatment, the dilated vessels remain in the area; this is usually temporary and is caused by inflammation. Some show little redness and others get quite florid from treatments. You may also experience tiny crusts on the face or body that will last 7-10 days or longer (body crusts last longer, up to three weeks).
Q: What can I do before the treatment?
A. DO NOT take aspirin for 24 hours before or after the treatment. It could cause unnecessary bleeding.
You may take Tylenol or Advil before the treatment if you think you will be sensitive. Advil taken with food is preferable, because it will diminish swelling somewhat.
Topical cream anesthetic is an option but it is not recommended for broken capillaries for best results.
Q: What should I do after the treatment?
DO NOT rub or stretch the treated skin. This could cause bleeding and undo the treatment.
DO Keep the area hydrated and protected with Aquaphor or Neosporin.
DO NOT wash the treated area until the next day.
DO NOT apply makeup right after treatment. For 24 hours you must be very careful to avoid the treated area.
DO NOT exercise until the next day. No yoga, sauna, hot tubs and stay out of the sun!
